Castanea
is a small personal hostel, located at one of The Old
Towns narrow and cobble stoned streets. With a beautiful horse
chestnut tree at a small square just outside. We have 55 beds, in
single rooms, twin rooms, 4- and 6-bedded rooms and one dormitory. We have a
kitchen for your own cooking. Showers and toilettes in the corridor.
Sheets and towels could be hired for €7 – or you can bring your own. Sleeping bags are not allowed due to hygiene reasons.
Free wireless Internet for guests that bring their own computer (not in all rooms).
In Castanea smoking is not allowed, nor is animals. Open all year.
Welcome to check in 15.00-18.00. For arrivals after 18.00 please contact us at least two days before by telephone or e-mail.

"Castanea is a really good place to stay if you're looking for a central place to stay for a good price. The whole hostel was clean and there were enough toilets and showers. The staff was very helpful and nice. I really recommend this place to other who wants to stay in Stockholm!"
